Hatshepsut Temple - Luxor

Day 1

Arrival at Cairo International Airport.
You will be met by Global Connect Travel representative to assist you through Airport formalities.
Transfer & Overnight at chosen hotel in Cairo.

Day 2

Breakfast at Hotel.
Tour to visit The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, known commonly as The Egyptian Museum or The Cairo Museum, is home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. It has over 120,000 items, with a representative amount on display, the remainder in storerooms awaiting the opening of The New Egyptian Museum. The edifice is one of the largest museums in the region, allow your Egyptologist to introduce you to some of its’ highlights; the treasures of King Tut Ankh Amun, as well as statues of almost every Pharaoh that ruled Ancient Egypt one day.
Then visit The Citadel of Cairo which is characterized by hundreds of mosques, tombs, and fortifications. In 1979, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization proclaimed Historic Cairo a World Cultural Heritage site, as "one of the world's oldest Islamic cities, with its famous mosques, and fountains" and "the new center of the Islamic world, reaching its golden age in the 14th century. After visiting The Citadel of Salah El Din in Cairo, you will visit Mohamed Ali Mosque that also known as the Alabaster Mosque. Followed by a visit to one of the most and biggest mosques in Cairo which is El Sultan Hassan Mosque, El Sultan Hassan, the son of the great Mamluk Sultan. Then visit Al-Azhar Mosque, was the official mosque which has the Friday prayers. It built by the Great Fatimid army leader and the builder of Cairo, Gawhar El Seqelly. Visit Al-Mu'izz li-Din Allah of the Fatimid Caliphate, El Hussein Mosque in Cairo. Khan El-Khalili & El-Moez Street.
Stop for lunch 40 mints (not included).

Day 3

Breakfast at Hotel.
You will be met by Global Connect Travel Representative, transferred to Cairo Domestic Airport to board your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival to Aswan, you will be met and transferred by Global Connect Travel Representative to board your Nile Cruise.
Lunch on board Cruise, after lunch visit The High Dam, the Aswan High Dam, is an embankment dam built across the Nile in Aswan between 1960 and 1970. Its significance largely eclipsed the previous Aswan low dam initially completed in 1902 downstream. with its ability to better control flooding, provide increased water storage for irrigation and generate hydroelectricity. The High Dam has had a significant effect on the economy and culture of Egypt.
Then visit The Temple of Philae by motor boat, Philae is an island in the reservoir of The Aswan Low Dam and Lake Nasser. The Temple Philae in ancient Egyptian was dedicated to the Goddess Isis, the wife of Osiris and mother of Horus. These three characters dominate ancient Egyptian culture and their story possesses all the drama of a Shakespearian tragedy. The God Osiris is murdered and dismembered by his brother Seth. Isis searches for the fragments, collects them together and with her magic powers brings Osiris back to life. Then visit The Unfinished Obelisk, it is the largest known ancient Obelisk and is located in the northern region of Aswan. Its creation was ordered by Hatshepsut. The obelisk's creators began to carve it directly out of bedrock, but cracks appeared in the granite and the project was abandoned.

Day 4

Breakfast on board.
Sailing to Kom Ombo then visit The Temple shared by two Gods Sobek & Haeroris. The temple is about 30 miles (48 km) north of Aswan and was built during the Greco-Roman period (332 BC AD 395). Is also unique because it is in fact a double temple, dedicated to Sobek the Crocodile God, and Horus the Falcon-Headed God. The layout combines two temples in one with each side having its own gateways and chapels.
Sail to Edfu.
After lunch on board, visit Horus Temple in Edfu. The Temple of Edfu is an Egyptian Temple located on the west bank of the Nile, Upper Egypt. In particular, the Temple's inscribed building texts provide details of its construction, and also preserve information about the mythical interpretation of this and all other temples as the Island of Creation. There are also "important scenes and inscriptions of the Sacred Drama which related the age-old conflict between Horus and Seth.
Sail to Luxor via Esna.
Afternoon tea.

Day 5

Breakfast on board.
Visit the west bank of Luxor, the west bank of Luxor had been the site of royal burials since around 2100 BC, but it was the pharaohs of the New Kingdom period (1550–1069 BC) who chose this isolated valley dominated by the pyramid-shaped mountain peak of Al Qurn (The Horn). Once called the Great Necropolis of Millions of Years of Pharaoh, or the Place of Truth, The Valley of the Kings has 63 magnificent royal tombs. After visiting The Valley of the Kings, you will visit The Temple of Hatshepsut (El-Deir El-Bahari) is a mortuary temple of Ancient Egypt located in Upper Egypt. Built for the Eighteenth Dynasty pharaoh Hatshepsut, it is located beneath the cliffs at Deir el-Bahari on the west bank of the Nile near the Valley of the Kings.
Lunch on board.
Visit East Bank. The Karnak Temple Complex "fortified village" comprises a vast mix of decayed temples, chapels, pylons, and other buildings near Luxor, in Egypt. Construction at the complex began during the reign of Senusret I in the Middle Kingdom and continued into the Ptolemaic period, although most of the extant buildings date from the New Kingdom.

Day 6 :

Breakfast on board
8:00 Check-out after Breakfast and you will be met with Global Connect Travel Representative to transfer to Luxor Domestic Airport to board flight to Cairo, upon arrival to Cairo, you will be met and transferred by Global Connect Travel Representative to your chosen hotel in Cairo.
Overnight at chosen hotel in Cairo.

Day 7

Breakfast at Hotel.
Start your tour with your own Egyptologist visiting The Great Pyramids of Giza   built around 2,500 BC and know significance of this 4,500-year-old site. After learning about these age-old tombs, visit The Sphinx, the statue of a human-headed lion that guards the pyramids and you will have the chance to visit The Solar Boat Museum, an ancient boat used in the funeral rituals of The Pharaoh Khufu (Cheops) that includes Khufu Ship, the whole purpose of what was known as a ‘Solar Barge’ was transport the deceased Pharaoh to his afterlife. Therefore, these huge vessels were buried near the Pharaoh’s Tomb.

Day 8

Breakfast at Hotel.
Transfer to Cairo International Airport for final departure.
